Harry Bowley - My Topman Underage Entry !

My name is Harry Bowley, I am 16 years old, with a great passion for music, film, art and drama - all of the things that this experience seems to require an interest in! I’ve always enjoyed being on stage as a performer but have also forever loved being part of the ‘behind the camera’ activities such as script writing and directing. I have developed a creative and experimental side during my practice of these undertakings, too, particularly in drama. I perform in music at school but also regularly attend concerts and music performances around London. I think that stretching yourself is so important to be able to really find music that you like, instead of it being handed to you in the mainstream charts. Although of course, I am influenced by those around me in what music my friends like too - most of which comes from the US and features a rapper!
If there has been one thing I’ve learned it’s that to be confident as well as to try and enjoy everything I do. Whilst the cliche is unavoidable to give ‘110%’ to everything you do - I really do give that figure. My proudest trate I developed at school and that is to have a sense of humour, be chatty and sociable - getting on with people is key to being successful and achieving something special. I’ve tried to avoid the typical phrases (‘outgoing’, ‘bubbly’) as I’m sure you have already received so many submissions sounding the same!
The pompous ‘big head’ stuff aside, the most attractive thing about me for this project is that I am completely in touch with the media, current news and the goings on of music, always. And I can also form an opinion, think, and then write about it - making something that is really worthwhile for someone to read, as well as asking the more engaging questions in interviews - i.e. what the viewers actually want to know !
