‘Ello, my names Edd, I’m 17, living in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire.
If I have one passion in my life, it’s music, which is why I think I’d make a great Topman Controller. I listen to practically anything, from Animal Collective to Adam and the Ants, the Jackson Five to Jamie T, although I have a particular passion for folk, electronic and indie rock, oh and anything with a synth in it. I love making music myself, playing the guitar and harmonica, and the drums when I have time, as well as writing some of my own lyrics from time to time. I love going to gigs and festivals, by far the best times of my life have been spent at them, and my CD collection is probably my most prized possession. I keep up to date with all the latest goings-on in music, mainly through reading the NME and Q, and I must spend half my life finding new artists on Spotify. I’m a creative, friendly person, and I’ve been told I’m not bad at speaking to big groups of people. I’m really looking forward to going to Underage this year, especially to see Johnny Flynn, Baio and Bombay Bicycle Club. I think it would be the experience of a lifetime to get to interview and report on musicians like these, and an amazing doorway to a potential career in music.
PS: Since I religiously buy Topman clothes, the vouchers would be pretty good too!
